RECOGNITION BY OSE WORLD

WELCOME TO THE OSE COMMUNITY
“

The more our recognition grows,
the more our responsibility to contribute grows.

”

Over several months, the pioneers have grown to know one another. They have discovered the foundations of OSE. They have formed their founding community. They have built their OSE Country Club. They have met their first partners. Above all, they have shown their capacity to bring the spirit of OSE to life in concrete terms.

The recognition of an OSE Country does not rest solely on the quality of its preparation. It requires that a first experience has been successfully carried out:

  • At least one young person hosted.
  • At least one young person sent abroad.

At the end of these first exchanges, the partner OSE Countries jointly assess how they went. They check that OSE's founding principles have been respected and that the young people, families, clubs, schools and other partners have experienced something true to the project's purpose.

This peer validation marks the maturity of the future OSE Country. It can then be put forward to OSE WORLD for official recognition. This recognition takes tangible form through the presentation of the OSE Country Recognition Charter.

Through this Charter, OSE WORLD officially welcomes a new ambassador-training Club into the international community.

This Charter does not reward completed work. It opens a new responsibility. From this point on, the OSE Country's leaders take full part in the life of OSE WORLD. They take part in its discussions, its decisions and its development. They enrich the OSE Adventure Booklets with their experiences, propose new themes for reflection and contribute to the shared educational heritage.

The pioneers, for their part, receive a particular title. They become the Founding Members of their OSE Country. This status belongs to them permanently. It recognises those who had the courage to open the way. Over time, their experience may naturally lead them to become OSE Sages, placing their experience at the service of new generations of pioneers.

This is how the OSE community grows. This is how the Altis is built. Each new OSE Country Club enriches the international community. Each experience becomes a resource for others. Each trained ambassador helps grow the universal fraternity that is OSE's purpose.

The law of recognition

For there is a simple law found in individuals as in organisations: the more social recognition grows, the more personal responsibility to contribute to the common good grows.

This is why, within the OSE community, recognition is never regarded as a privilege. It is the free acceptance of a greater responsibility.
