Practical guide
Start simply. Grow together.
Creating an OSE Country can seem like an ambitious undertaking. In reality, everything starts much more simply. OSE à minima allows a country to put the necessary conditions in place without waiting to have a large organisation up and running.
The goal is not to immediately build a large OSE Country.
The goal is to succeed in a first exchange.
The rest will follow, step by step.
To get started, there's no need to bring together many clubs, a complex administration or significant resources.
It's enough to bring together the conditions essential to a successful first exchange.
OSE calls this stage: OSE à minima.
Throughout this period, OSE World supports the new OSE Country and provides it with the Founding Booklets, the Adventure Notebooks, essential documents, agreements and training days led by OSE Countries.
The new OSE Country is never alone.
OSE à minima is not a period of theoretical learning. It is a period of hands-on experimentation.
Each step taken helps build new skills, strengthen confidence and prepare for the exchanges to come.
You don't learn before you act.
You learn by acting.
Over time, a successful first exchange becomes a true gateway for an OSE Country.
It can then welcome more young people, grow its resources and help the OSE community thrive.
An OSE Country doesn't grow overnight.
It grows exchange after exchange.
