No human endeavor is born from nothing. Each receives a heritage, draws sustenance from it, then in turn seeks to make its contribution to the world.
OSE is rooted in three great human adventures which, each in their own way, have sought to bring human beings closer together and build a more fraternal world. These three legacies converge today to give birth to OSE.
Humanity is not a juxtaposition of peoples, cultures, or nations, but a single human adventure moving towards an ever-greater awareness of its unity.”
Pierre TeilhardThese three legacies share a common hope: to build a world where every human being can become fully themselves in relation to others.
OSE is neither the International Olympic Committee, nor Rotary International, nor Ubuntu. OSE is an original, free, and independent creation.
It draws inspiration from these three legacies while pursuing its own path. Its ambition is to build bridges between sport and service, between people, cultures, generations, and nations.
OSE is the result of the convergence of three legacies: the Olympism of Pierre de Coubertin, the spirit of service of Paul Harris, and the relational wisdom of Ubuntu.
