THE PURPOSE
AND OSE'S MISSION<\/span><\/h1>\r\n

\r\n Human beings are not merely called to live. They are called to exist.\r\n To exist is to progressively become the author of one's own life rather than merely its spectator.\r\n It is about discovering who we are, what deeply inspires us, and the unique contribution\r\n we can make to others and the world.\r\n <\/p>\r\n

It is this human adventure that OSE wishes to support.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/header>\r\n\r\n \r\n

Rites of Passage<\/h3>\r\n

Throughout history, human societies have devised rites of passage to guide young people into adulthood: helping them discover their abilities, their limits, their identity, and their place in the world.<\/p>\r\n <\/article>\r\n\r\n

In our contemporary societies, these rites have largely disappeared. Sport remains one of the rare spaces where young people experience events capable of profoundly transforming them.<\/p>\r\n <\/article>\r\n\r\n

Sport, a School for Life<\/h3>\r\n

Facing effort, failure, success, fear, trust, teamwork, adversity: sport remains a formidable school for self-discovery.<\/p>\r\n <\/article>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/section>\r\n\r\n \r\n

OSE was born from the conviction that certain experiences have the power to accelerate a person's maturation.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n Leaving one's usual environment. Discovering another culture. Living away from one's family.\r\n Sharing daily life with a host family. Learning to manage on one's own. Facing the unknown.\r\n <\/p>\r\n

\r\n These situations compel individuals to mobilize resources they sometimes did not suspect they possessed.\r\n They constitute genuine growth experiences.\r\n <\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/section>\r\n\r\n \r\n
